Career Center – access the online portal for job and internship opportunities, as well as targeted access to highly qualified candidates who hold or are pursuing CFP® certification.  In addition, the Career Center hosts Online Career Fairs that connect employers and candidates in real time. 

Women’s Initiative (WIN) – become a volunteer mentor for a woman pursuing CFP® certification and become a WIN Advocate and access a toolkit to get the word out to women and girls about financial planning careers.

“I am a CFP® Pro” Campaign – encourage young people to consider a financial planning career through “day in the life” videos and personal stories from CFP® professionals. Join the conversation by sharing your story on Instagram and Twitter using hashtag #CFPPro.

Academic Research Colloquium – the annual Colloquium showcases cutting edge research from financial planning and related disciplines, designed to benefit CFP® professionals, firms and educators. It also offers influential sponsorship opportunities, enabling firms to access NextGen talent by building relationships with top colleges and universities with financial planning programs.

Columbia University Teaching Seminar – if you are interested in teaching financial planning, sign up for the teaching program developed by the Center and the Columbia University School of Professional Studies.

Book Series – improve your financial planning knowledge through the Center’s book series: Communication Essentials for Financial Planners (2017) and Client Psychology (2018). 

The Enduring Advisory Firm – in this book geared to financial advisors, Mark Tibergien and Kim Dellarocca make a compelling case for taking a closer look at technology and other big-deal industry trends in order to move the business of financial advice into the next stage of its evolution. In addition to providing RIAs with guidelines to help them succeed, all of the proceeds from the book will support the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning.

For Students and Aspiring CFP® Professionals

Scholarships – Center’s scholarship programs support students seeking the education needed to complete CFP® certification. The Center currently manages four scholarship funds – The Deena Jo Heide-Diesslin Foundation Challenge Match Scholarship, the Milton Stern Scholars Fund, Envestnet Scholarship, and the Richard B. (Dick) Wagner Memorial Scholarship Fund, a joint effort with FPA.

CFP Board Mentor Program – get free one-on-one guidance, advice and support from an experienced CFP® professional volunteering as a mentor
